quarterly to discuss ways to improve the practice&#8217;s services. Members can attend face-to-face meetings and a virtual group where we seek feedback via email from interested patients.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The PPG&#8217;s role includes:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Being a critical friend to the practice<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Advising the practice on patient perspectives and service quality<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Encouraging patients to take responsibility for their health<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Conducting research into patients&#8217; views<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Organising health promotion events and improving health literacy<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Communicating regularly with the patient population<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Patients, GPs, practice staff, and the wider community all benefit from a successful PPG.
